Angus Duncan 1922 - 2015

Angus Louis Duncan June 23, 1922-November 27, 2015.
Angus was predeceased by his wife of 56 years Mary Lahey, son Ron and siblings Jimmy, Jock, Flora, George, Eddy, Donald, Emma and Kenny. Along with 5 of his brothers Angus (1st Heavy AA Battery,2nd Heavy AA Regiment-Royal Canadian Artillery) fought in and returned from WWII. In 1946 he began working at the CNR as a fireman on steam engines and retired as an engineer in 1985. He cherished family and delighted in his grandchildren Paul, T.J. (Heather), Taedra (Justin), Eric and his great grandchildren Angus (A.J.) and Brogan. Dad loved life and lived it well. He gave his children an appreciation of family, nature, dancing and moral living-a good day`s work for a good day`s pay. He was an avid bowler, scoring over 200 even after his 80th birthday, completed cycling`s Tour de L`ile at 75 and could toss a mean Frisbee. His love of gardening and animals was contagious. Our family is grateful for the excellent and compassionate care that Dad received at the St Anne`s Veterans`Hospital. In lieu of flowers, we ask that donations be to the St Anne`s Hospital Foundation. We, his children, Wendy (Brendan), Donna (Magued) & Stewart shall miss and love him forever.
Angus was a life member of Branch 212 LaSalle, his dedication and support of the legion will be missed by all that knew him.
You fought your battles with honour and is now a time for rest, farewell and peace on your journey.
